MOORINGS

Moorings for Edgartown Race Weekend can be reserved by filling out and submitting the request form below.  The Harbormaster's office can be reached on VHF ch. 74 for mooring assignments when you arrive in Edgartown Harbor. The first 50 PAID early and regular registrants for the ‘Round-the-Island segment of ERW will be provided two nights of free moorings Friday and Saturday nights.  Participants of the 'Round-the-Sound Races segment will be provided two nights of free moorings Thursday and Friday nights.  You may reserve additional mooring nights through the mooring link form, and you will pay the harbormaster directly for any additional nights.

All moorings are managed by the Edgartown Harbormaster's Department.

NOTE: Given the number of yachts participating in Edgartown Race Weekend, the Edgartown mooring field quickly reaches capacity. Late registrants should take note that moorings may have filled up and yachts may need to anchor in the Outer Harbor for the regatta.

BOAT LIFTS & TRAILER STORAGE

If you are trailering your boat to one of our regattas, MacDougalls’ in Falmouth has travel lift capabilities and knows of locations where trailers can be stored for regattas. If you prefer to trailer your boat to the Vineyard and launch here, there Martha's Vineyard Shipyard and Safe Harbor Edgartown have boat lifts, and trailer storage can be coordinated through our waterfront director.

There is a large dumpster located across the parking lot from the Yacht Club. Showers are located at the Harbormaster's office at North Wharf. Restrooms are available to visiting yachtsman in the main clubhouse and the Galley Grill.

WASH DOWN  & POTABLE WATER BARGE

Located diagonally across the channel from Green Channel Marker #9 is a floating water barge secured by two ball-shaped blue moorings on either side. It is free to use, accessible 24-7 on a first-come, first-serve basis, and equipped with two hoses. Vessel can tie up on either side of it.

PUMP OUT SERVICE

Edgartown Harbor offers free pump-out service to all vessels in Edgartown waters via a pump-out boat that will pull alongside. To request a pump-out, hail “Edgartown Pump-out” directly on VHF Ch. 74. You do not have to be on board at the time of a pump-out.

ANCHORAGE

Anchorage is only available in the outer harbor unless harbormaster has stated otherwise. The anchorage area is located in the outer harbor across the channel from the lighthouse and to the port-side of Red Nun #8 along the Chappaquiddick shoreline. It is serviced by the launch, well protected by Chappy's bluff from the light, prevailing southwest breeze, and all sand on the bottom making for easy holding. Vessels anchoring must be out of the channel and swim zones and all engines must be shut off 150-feet and less from shore. Anchorage in Katama Bay is only open at the harbormaster’s discretion when strong winds from the North/Northeast are present. Please hail the Harbormaster on VHF Ch. 74 to inquire about the status.
