EYC H12 Fleet
For more than 100 years Herreshoff 12½s have graced the harbors of New England and now the world. The doughty gaff-rigged sloops were designed by Nathanael Herreshoff of America’s Cup fame so that children could learn to sail in the chop and blow of Buzzards Bay. Now some fifty of these handsome “H12s” are berthed in Edgartown harbor and comprise a strong fleet on the starting lines of the Yacht Club’s races. The Corinthian Tradition continues as H12 sailors enjoy Sundae Sails to Katama with their families (and ice cream sundaes afterwards at the Club) and regular fleet member parties ashore. Come, join us, race or cruise – the boat is beautiful, the people are fun, and the H12 sails beautifully!

THE EYC H12 Fleet win the 2020 Vineyard Herreshoff Cup!
For the first time in the event's history, the Edgartown H12 fleet has won the 2020 Vineyard Herreshoff Cup, and in impressive fashion! Here's a poem about the win from Don McLagan, a member of the fleet.
There once was a Herreshoff bowl
Which Menemsha had kept under hold
But Warren, Russ, Larry
In winds that quite varied
Brought the Yacht Club the bowl to control!
The win was also reported in the MV Magizine. Click here to read the full article.
