Mike will present "Disorder in the Bloodlands: The Russo-Polish War of 1919-1920" Mike Balay will continue his series on how the fall of empires after World War I has implications for today in a talk entitled "Disorder in the Bloodlands: The Russo-Polish War of 1919-1920." He will examine the chaotic struggle to establish strategic security on the western borders of the former Russian Empire and explore the strategic geography between the Baltic and Black Seas, including the road from Warsaw to Kyiv and the Don. It concludes with a description of the "Miracle on the Vistula" that saved Poland from Soviet invasion in August 1920 but left the stage set for future tragedy.
Tim will present "Two D-Days: The Real Story of Omaha Beach"
