2024 H Class Championship Conduct of Race

Please note, all official race directions will appear on the Official Notice Board online. The Notice of Race, including a complete schedule and registration details, is now posted. Be sure to check the Official Notice Board for all race committee notifications, as noted in the NOR and the Sailing Instructions. 

Following are some general details about the competition: 

• There will be two days of competition on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28; a complete schedule including times of first warnings will be published in the Notice of Race. 

• Please allow for around 45 min to get from your mooring out to the course - wind dependant 

• Our sailing venue will be the Outer Harbor. See an example chartlet below. 

• Edgartown Yacht Club uses inflatable drop marks, setting windward-leeward courses, usually of four legs total. We will lengthen or shorten the distance according to wind velocity. Our aim is to run at least 3-4 races each day of competition. 

• We use the Rule 26 five-minute start sequence. You’ll find a graphic showing the sequence below.
